Recently I was searching for news from nanotechnology and discovered this magnificent ferrofluid misteries.
Ferrofluid is material developed by NASA. Ferrofluid is some kind of fluid that contains nanoscale magnetic particles that respond to a magnetic field. It is used on varios fields even in architecture -for stabilizing large building that move around in the wind. Check in Wikipedia for more info.
