The Sensory Lamp by Sara Rossbach

The Sensory Lamp by Sara Rossbach is meant to create a closer connection between our work environments and nature for more productive and stimulating workdays.

The Sensory Lamp by Sara Rossbach

While the lamp mimics natural light cycles by slowly altering in color and intensity throughout the day, creativity and productivity are enhanced by the smell of the grass growing from the
base of the lamp.

The Sensory Lamp by Sara RossbachThe act of nurturing the plant also stimulates the mind, as gardening is often used as therapy. With a mouse pad attached, the Sensory Lamp stays close to you. In a step towards the future, the Sensory Lamp takes us back to nature.

  1. welll……..nice idea, nice concept, but grass? how long does this grass last and does it need to be cut? I dunno. seems like a notion not an idea.

  2. Where can I buy one of these?

  3. I love it! I want one. Where can I get one?
    Thanks

  4. Growing grass in this lamp is just like growing any plant, it needs to be watered and cared for, but in doing so the user’s mind and senses become stimulated.
I have created only one, so I don’t have any for sale, but hopefully soon!

  5. Interesting idea. I would imagine you can grow anything in the base, as long as it is compact. Like a mini herb garden or mini orchids or something. I’d buy one.

  6. I agree, fabulous idea for us stuck at our desks all day! We need more designers like this! I’d buy ten! GENIUS!

  7. helloooo! this is sooo amazing!! where could i get one?? and by the way your other work is great too!!

  11. Nice idea….. except for the small problem I have with allergies….

  12. Very nice for those of us who miss nature while inside working. ^^

I presume you could grow anything in the base, but the grass looks very slick.

    O!

  13. Id buy a few in a heartbeat. I love the design, and sure the grass may take a bit of work, but that also promotes being some-what active for alot of the inactive cubicle residing inmates of an office.
